Understanding Login Security Notifications
To help keep your account secure, our system automatically sends an email notification whenever a new login to your client portal is detected.
This article explains what these notifications are, what to do if you receive an unexpected alert, and how to manage your notification preferences.
What information is included in the notification?
When a login occurs, you will receive an email containing the key session details:
-
Time: The exact date and timestamp of the login event.
-
IP Address: The network IP address used to connect to your account.
-
Device Details: The browser and operating system used (e.g., Google Chrome on Windows).
These details help you quickly confirm whether the account access was authorized by you or a team member.
What should I do if I receive an alert I don't recognize?
If you receive a login notification that you or an authorized user did not initiate, take the following steps immediately:
-
Reset Your Password: Log into the client portal and reset your password immediately to terminate active sessions.
-
Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): Visit Account Security Settings in your dashboard to enable 2FA for an additional layer of protection.
-
Contact Support: Submit a support ticket to inform our team so we can help inspect your account log for unauthorized access.
How do I opt out of Login Notifications?
While we strongly recommend keeping this security feature enabled to protect your services, you can turn off these emails at any time:
-
Log into your Client Portal.
-
Click on Account Details (or Edit Account Details from the sidebar).
-
Scroll down to the Custom Fields section.
-
Check the box labeled "Disable Login Notifications".
-
Click Save Changes.
(Note: You can re-enable notifications at any time by unchecking this box and saving your changes.)
